ARTscape 2009
treasures make this week's itList
|
This week, the PD Style Team is doing a little
high-end shopping at one of the premier events of the season. Organizers of ARTscape 2009 are calling it "Cleveland's hippest holiday shopping experience." We hate
to admit it, jaded consumers that we are, but believe the hype. Collected under MOCA's tall ceilings are likely some of the most inventive, didn't-I-just-see-that-in-a-magazine?
jewelry, fine art and handmade goods you'll see in one place this season. The work of more than 45 regional and national
artists and designers will be on mouthwatering display. See the rest of the article here.

Movie Jewelry Lingg Showroom Megan Fox is hot. Guys want her. Girls want to be like her. We think we can help —
just a little bit. Even if you aren’t on the run from robots like the star of Transformers:
Revenge of the Fallen, the sterling silver and leather bracelet she sports throughout the blockbuster will probably
be the closest any of us will get. Designed by Canton native Dana Schneider, who is known for creating intricate yet playful
jewelry for other movies such as X-Men and Charlie’s
Angels: Full Throttle, the bracelet is available at Lingg Showroom. It also
comes in black leather, allowing you to dress like the stars 24/7.

Canton native Dana
Schneider's jewelry creations are the stuff of fantasy films and a dream career "I love working with
Dana because she gets it right away," says Wilkinson, the head costume designer on Terminator:
Salvation. "She has an artist's eye, she's well-read, she knows fashion, history, and she understands
the logistics of filmmaking. Plus her work is outstanding."
